If some offer an access by the road like Saleccia with its 12km of track, others like Lotu, Ghignu or Malfalcu, are protected by the thick maquis of the Agriate and offer no other opening than that of the shore...
Saint-Florent has its own microclimate due to the influence of the Gulf and the sea breezes have a refreshing effect, not unpleasant under 30 degrees from July to August! In the event of a westerly wind, the beaches inside the Gulf are better protected by the coast and certain coves such as Petit Lotu or Fiume Santu become a favourite shelter.
